I'm planning to pay a bit more attention to the Curious British Telly Substack in 2026, which is my polite way of trying to shuffle you over there to get signed up. You'll receive articles straight to your inbox, so it's a no-brainer.
The Substack exists as a home for smaller articles. Dissecting curious items I've spotted on Ebay at 3 in the morning. Recommendations of dusty relics I've found lurking in the darkest corners of YouTube. And examining old industry-magazine articles that reveal how very different a beast British television once was. The current plan is to send out YouTube recommendations daily, which should provide a steady drip-feed of interest for anyone with a weakness for Curious British Telly
Previously, I did experiment with a paid-subscription option on Substack. It generated very little interest and a great deal of work, which is rarely an attractive proposition. I'm not opposed to revisiting this idea, but it would need a significant number of supporters to justify. If this does sound up your alley, you can leave a pledge to indicate this interest (no money changes hand until I turn the subscription on)
Your support, as ever, is much appreciated.
